This 8 week yoga for beginners course is your opportunity to practice the traditional yoga postures infused with the best practices of functional anatomy and somatic movement. Discover smart, fun and effective ways to improve your posture, flexibility, strength and agility.

Course Dates: Saturdays – April 4th to May 30th, 2020 – 11:15 am to 12:45 pm

This course will provide you with the sound foundations Vinyasa Krama Yoga blended with the therapeutics of somatic movement practices. In a small group setting, students are taken through postures and exercises step-by-step with clear explanations of the postures (āsanas) and breathing exercises (prāṇāyāma). You will learn the key anatomical alignment to relieve back tension, increase mobility of the spine, calm the nervous system and naturally increase strength. Plus in this course, students will be introduced to the basic form of mindfulness (vipassana) meditation.

This course is open to anyone who is completely new to yoga, new to the Vinyasa Krama Yoga method or anyone who would like to go back to the basics. The course is structured over 9 classes, meeting once a week.
